Abdellah TEBANI is a tenured Professor and Hospital Practitioner at the University of Rouen Normandy (Rouen Medical School), affiliated with Rouen University Hospital. He co-leads the Systems Medicine Lab within the AIMS team, where his research focuses on rare diseases, particularly inherited metabolic diseases and lysosomal disorders. He is a co-investigator of the LysoNeo pilot large-scale study on neonatal screening in Normandy of lysosomal diseases.
With extensive experience in laboratory medicine, medical biology, and clinical omics, his research blends multi-omics technologies, clinical data, and artificial intelligence to advance the field of precision accurate medicine. His work lies at the intersection of systems biology, digital health, and computational medicine to achieve clinical actionability.
His approach involves the integration of multimodal clinico-biological data to generate insightful metabolic and regulatory network models, incorporating protein-protein interactions and signaling pathways. These multilayered methods aim to uncover complex biological mechanisms and support the development of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
He has contributed to the creation of human tissue atlases as part of the program the Swedish Human Protein Atlas project. Additionally, he is the co-founder of the International Symposium on Pathways to Precision Medicine, an initiative to foster global collaboration and promote advances in precision medicine.
